Meet Our Kids
Last summer Keegan was attending a bike rodeo his twin sister had entered in their home town of Terrace, B.C. He came to the realization that he did not have a bike and he asked his mother why. The answer broke her heart. Keegan has cerebral palsy, this makes the purchase of a conventional mountain bike out of the question. A specialized trike was needed for him. Such a trike costs thousand of dollars the family could not provide. Later that summer Linda met Friends of Children board member Mike McGuire who suggested she call our society to see how we could help. With the expertise of diagnostic specialists and mobility technicians a trike was built to suit Keegan's needs. We are happy to say that on June 20, 2005 Keegan rode his new bike home, overjoyed with this special gift. This project required the efforts of five service clubs organized by Northern B.C. Friends of Children Society. We would like to thank the following organizations for their dedication to children in their community. . .
